Meet and greet in Delhi, followed by driving to Ranthambore. Located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southern Rajasthan, Ranthambore was declared a national park in the year 1980. Widely famed for being the land of Royal Bengal Tigers, it is home to numerous species of birds and flora. The park is highly preferred by tourists not only for its biodiversity but also for magnificent natural sights. The shallow perennial lakes, verdant valleys, gentle slopes, an old fortress and the Banas River are the other highlights of this 392 sq.km park. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy the day relaxing and enjoying this much-needed escapade from the exhaustive and chaotic city life. Spend the night in your hotel room.

Embark on a safari to Ranthambore National Park early in the morning (on your own expense). You can capture the wilderness of this park, see the majestic predators in their natural habitat; hiding behind vegetation, playing and relaxing, and birds chirping to the new arrival of sun.The wide array of endangered and rare animals seen here are tigers, striped hyenas, sloth bears, langurs, common yellow bats, Indian wild boars, chinkara and jungle cats. You may also get to see toads, frogs, tortoise, desert monitor lizards and snub nosed marsh crocodiles. While discovering the intriguing jungle habitats, see around 272 varieties of Indian and migratory birds, including woodpeckers, greylag goose, Indian grey hornbills and bee-eaters. You can also see cuckoos, common kingfishers, parakeets, owl, pigeon, great crested grebe, cormorants, darters, egrets and herons. Following this exciting day, return to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

Check-out from the hotel and drive to Delhi.

about

At Ranthambore National Park, in the Indian Subcontinent, the tiger rules the jungle. This nearly 400 sq. Km wide stretch of land in Rajasthan is where these majestic animals reside, roaming amidst verdant greenery along with other animals and birds. Unfortunately, due to its dwindling population, spotting a tiger is a matter of luck, but it is still one of the few places on earth where you can witness tigers in their natural habitat. A jeep safari at the park is not just an exciting adventure but is a chance to explore nature in its truest form. It makes people realize the importance of conserving endangered species, to balance the ecosystem of the earth. The National Park is also home to numerous historic structures, including the magnificent Ranthambore Fort, several temples, mosques, lakes and hunting pavilions. The villages in and around the park give you a glimpse inside the simple life led by the local people of Ranthambore. Walk around the villages, and you will be mesmerized by the vibrant culture of Rajasthan, where you will realize that the state does live up to the hype.
